Clown Plecos are a small species of pleco, while some individuals may grow to 4" most will stay significantly smaller and closer to 2-3" Like most other plecos they are not great algae eaters on their own despite being marketed as such. Due to their small size however clown plecos produce much less waste than larger species. It is however important to know that this species requires wood as part of their diet. While large pieces are not required, they must have driftwood.
