Red Tailed Shark (Epalzeorhynchos bicolor)
$4.50 USD
The Red-Tailed shark is a small species of tropical fish, unusually reaching a maximum of about 5" long. They have a lifespan that typically ranges from 5-6 years, but individuals living to 8 years are not unheard of. They have a more shark like appearance compared to other freshwater "sharks" and can be recognized by their red tail fins. Caution should be had when attempting to mix them with other similar species of shark as they can be very aggressive to their own kind or something that may resemble their own kind. However, they tend to do quite well with other fish so long as they do not resemble the shark and aren't large or aggressive enough to injure it.
