African Dwarf Frog (Hymenochirus boettgeri)

The African Dwarf Frog is a small species of aquatic frog reaching no more than 2.5" in length. They can live an average of 5 years in most cases but occasionally can live much longer. These frogs are fully aquatic and have no need to come out on land, however they are capable of doing so and may be seen resting on floating plants or other objects peaking above the water's surface. They are a peaceful species and will not harm other tank mates. They are a great option to mix with bettas as often times bettas will completely ignore them as will many small community fish.
