Colombian Tetra (Hyphessobrycon columbianus)

The Colombian Tetra is a tropical fish with a lifespan of 3-5 years. They often grow to about 3" and are a peaceful species. These fish have a rather unusual color with an almost holographic blue on the upper portion of their body that fades into silver towards the belly with translucent red fins. In larger groups they will display prominent schooling behavior and provide a vibrant display of flashing fins and scales.
