Diamond Tetra (Moenkhausia pittieri)

Diamond Tetras are another small species of tetra averaging about 2.5" and 3-5 years old. The name comes from sparkling scales on their sides, when swimming it makes them seem as if they're studded with diamonds. This effect is especially vibrant when in large schools during feeding time.
