Spotted African Leaf Fish (Ctenopoma acutirostre)

Spotted African Leaf Fish, also known as Leopard Ctenopoma are a medium sized species of predatory fish that grows up to 8", though in captivity they normally don't grow past 6". These ambush predators will lurk slowly through plants before opening their surprisingly large mouths to engulf prey. This species is a shy but curious fish that loves heavily planted tanks. They are not particularly fast growers and are not aggressive to tank mates too large to eat.
